Lead Project Manager

As the Lead Project Manager, you will be the force behind creating and sustaining smart, agile, and AI-enhanced project management systems that keep small, cross-functional teams aligned and moving fast. You won’t just manage timelines—you’ll shape how work gets done across Engineering, IT, and Tech Ops in an environment where clarity, efficiency, and adaptability are essential.
With limited layers and lean team structures, your role is about distilling complexity into simplicity, ensuring every contributor has exactly what they need to stay focused on high-impact work.
Traditional project management experience is welcome, but this role is built for someone excited to break molds, automate the busywork, and establish lightweight, powerful systems that scale as the team grows.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement smart, AI-supported workflows and tools that streamline task tracking, communication, and execution across small but high-output teams.
- Create simple, adaptable systems for documenting goals, deadlines, and deliverables—ensuring all team members are aligned without being bogged down by overhead.
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards and automated status updates that offer leadership and contributors instant visibility into project health, blockers, and progress.
- Analyze workflow data regularly to proactively identify friction points, risks, or opportunities for optimization.
- Continually research, test, and integrate emerging project management technologies and AI tools to evolve practices ahead of team needs.
- Facilitate efficient cross-team collaboration, keeping priorities clear and communication clean across engineering, IT, and systems operations.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience designing and managing cross-functional workflows in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments— with hands-on use of automation, AI-enhanced tools, and project systems that scale.
- Experience managing technical projects in lean, cross-functional environments—especially where speed, clarity, and adaptability are key.
- Demonstrated ability to use and customize modern project tools and AI-enhanced platforms (e.g., ClickUp, Notion AI, Jira Automation, Monday.com, custom scripts).
- A sharp sense for prioritization and clarity—able to translate big goals into focused next steps without over-engineering.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban is helpful, but the ability to tailor and simplify these for small teams is critical.
- Skilled in distilling and communicating project data into clear, actionable insights for a variety of stakeholders.
- Curious, hands-on, and motivated by the opportunity to experiment, streamline, and improve systems from the ground up.

Compensation
- $133,000 - $161,500 base + 10% bonus
- The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below).
Location
- Remote + quarterly travel to Las Vegas, NV
- Open to relocation is preferred
