The Event Manager is a crucial role in enabling us to scale by leading our events. Creating exceptional workshop experiences for our diverse audience as well as for our internal and external speakers and team. The primary responsibility involves planning, run of show, and vendor logistics.
You'll also work in a fast-paced startup environment, playing a role in growing and managing a hyper-growth division from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing the overall event strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Oversee the entire event life cycle from concept to execution.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure all aspects of the event are covered.
- Identify potential risks, create contingency plans, and solve issues that arise during the planning and execution phases.
- Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for every event by creating playbooks and detailed checklists in asana.
- Handle day-to-day administration of events and programs, including order placements, detailed run of show creation and review, vendor logistics, travel planning, restaurant reservations, registration counts, and issues resolution.
- Assisting at on-site events, including coordination with secondary vendors, room counts, signage coordination, run of show and other related duties.
- Partner with the team to conceptualize, plan, and execute engaging workshops from start to finish.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring a welcoming and approachable presence for all guests.
- Research, source, and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to create compelling workshop agendas.
- Oversee the registration process, manage attendee databases.
- Lead on-site coordination, handling any issues that may arise to ensure a smooth event.
- Handle difficult conversations with vendors when necessary, ensuring smooth event operations and a positive experience for both current and future guests.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review Guest satisfaction surveys and identify opportunities for improvement.
Results
- Execute workshops that consistently receive positive feedback, high net promoter scores, and high attendee satisfaction.
- Actively engage with guests to create a positive and memorable experience, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
- Proactively seek opportunities to create memorable 'WOW' moments, including greeting guests personally by name as they arrive at the facility.
- Create a similarly positive experience for speakers/presenters.
- Timely submission of post-event reports with key metrics, lessons learned, and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as an Event Manager or similar role, with a track record of successfully executed events.
- Has planned multiple business or learning events spanning multiple days for 100 - 500 people
- Must be based in Las Vegas, NV
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
- Proficient in project management such as Asana.
- Experience managing and adhering to a budget
- Innovative thinker with the ability to bring fresh ideas to workshop planning.
- Upbeat attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where you will have a lot of autonomy

- In-person, must be open to relocate to Las Vegas, NV
Compensation
- $76,000 - $95,000 year + benefits
- The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below).
Relocation Assistance

- $10,000–$15,000 in relocation support, plus up to 3 months of temporary housing (capped at $10,000).
